Freight brokers have a new way to merge Intuit’s QuickBooks and transportation management software.

A feature in DAT Keypoint allows brokers in need of transportation management software to still keep their QuickBooks small business accounting software for reconciling finances.DAT

“We developed the new interface because brokerage firms that are accustomed to using QuickBooks often wish to continue using it in conjunction with the DAT Keypoint TMS,” said Steve Blair, general manager of DAT Keypoint.

The integration lets freight brokers initiate bills and payments in QuickBooks with information from transactions recorded in DAT Keypoint. Freight brokers can set up customer and vendor profiles in the transportation management software and define special instructions, shipping details and contact information. The TMS then sends that support data over to QuickBooks.

The interface can streamline communication between the freight broker and an accountant or bookkeeper, giving each the opportunity to transfer files seamlessly in the QuickBooks format.
