The company that owns QuickBooks continues to make the world a smaller place by forging agreements with platforms across the globe.
The latest global collaboration in the works for Intuit, the owner of QuickBooks, is with Australian financial technology lender Waddle. The partnership would have Waddle’s app as part of Intuit’s apps.com store for small- and medium-sized businesses.
Waddle’s invoicing finance tool would be integrated into QuickBooks data for businesses, shortening the loan application and risk mitigation process. Waddle’s app allows real time viewing for invoice payments and balances.
Waddle co-founder Leigh Dunsford said the agreement would help entrepreneurs with cash-flow issues.
“Businesses are often waiting for payments to arrive before they can fund growth and can be the No. 1 reason why they go out of of business,” Dunsford said in a statement about the proposed partnership.
QuickBooks said it has been working to connect with online lending platforms in an effort to better utilize the small-business financial data it has for entrepreneurs’ benefit.
The world’s leading accounting program also has expanded its existing partnership with Shopify to include Canada. The collaboration, which started in March, connects sellers on Shopify’s eCommerce site to QuickBooks’ accounting services. The partnership is aimed at small-business owners being better able to manage and reconcile sales numbers.
“Many of our merchants are not necessarily experts on bookkeeping, which is why this integration is so important to their success,” Harley Finkelstein, chief platform operator for Shopify, told ITBusiness.
A spokesman for Intuit said the partnership will help Canada’s small-business owners with their online ambitions.
The partnership allows transaction data from sellers on Shopify to be automatically integrated into QuickBooks Online.
